Meet Our Nurse
Hello! My name is Amy DePaul, and I am the certified school nurse here at East Vincent. I have been a nurse for many years, spending most of my career in the neonatal intensive care unit and occasionally in pediatrics. I became a nurse because I truly enjoy caring for others and helping them heal. Working with children and families is one of my greatest joys.
Nursing is actually my second career. I hold two bachelor’s degrees-one in criminal justice and one in nursing-and I recently completed my Master of Education in School Health Services. Before becoming a nurse, I worked in social services, advocating for children and their families. Although these two career paths may seem different, both reflect my passion for supporting and helping others. Along with caring for everyday illnesses and injuries, I enjoy talking with students about ways to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
I live in Downingtown with my husband and our 4 wonderful children. We are a busy, active family and I enjoy every minute of it! In my free time, you can usually find me on the sidelines cheering on our boys in baseball, football, and basketball. When I get a quiet moment, I enjoy meeting up with friends, reading, and lifting weights.
